Distribution of presents to children in Kosovo 2013

In cooperation with Qendra për Mbrojtjen e Grave dhe Fëmijëve, we have presented gifts to 100 children of Kosovo.
Society UP, striving to a systematic incorporation of human rights as a key principle of development cooperation and is tending to structural changes, leading to a just and more balanced global development, has, within the frame of project Present a child with a gift for at least on day (Obdari otroka za en dan), presented gifts to children in Kosovo. In our work with Kosovo, we are focusing on the meaning of children’s rights for bigger development cooperation and are researching the course of changes that rights bring to the lives of excluded children. We are also researching the role of human's rights or in other words the approach from the human's rights view in key questions in development, as are national, regional and global development policy, environment, trading policy, migration policy, reducing poverty and informational society.

This year, in cooperation with Slovenian army, that transports all the gift to Kosovo free of charge, and our volunteer Savina Goličnik, the idea leader of the project, we have presented gifts to 100 orphans and victims of violence from Prishtina and Podujev, Kosovo.

Society UP has been involved and present in Kosovo since 2007 as a partnership organization of Center for helping woman and children, victims of violence, Qendra për Mbrojtjen e Grave dhe Fëmijëve, Prishtine.
