Bagong Simula: Scholarship Project

11 students of Naboc Elementary School received school materials from Society UP Jesenice.
Last December 4, 2012 when Supertyphoon Pablo (international designation Bopha) came as a raging storm, it took a vicious swipe at the homes, communities, and livelihood of many Mindanaoans. The Indigenous People Community of Brgy. Naboc, Monkayo was among the many areas affected by the typhoon. As part of Habitat for Humanity’s community program, it partners with Humanitarian Charity Society UP (Happy Bear Project) to alleviate the people’s living conditions by providing scholarship opportunities to selected children of Naboc Elementary School, which was affected by Typhoon Pablo in December 2012.

Purpose:

• Turnover of school materials
School bags, (inside of which were school supplies &uniforms) umbrellas, 2 pairs of shoes, and rain gears to the 11 beneficiaries of the Bagong Simula: Scholarship Project.

• To disburse scholars’ their food and transportation allowance.
School annual fees should be disbursed to the PTA Representative which at that time of the turn- over was not around thus , it will be given alongside the school uniforms- skirts which are yet to be purchased pending the validation of each student’s sizes.

C. Dolly Santos- Serranillo, Resource Development Manager of Habitat for Humanity disbursing the money to Marilyn Victorillo, Faculty Treasurer for the Bagong Simula Project for the following purposes:

1. Food Allowance
2. Transportation Allowance
